Food Trip Friday #21: Conty’s lunchdate

It was a real wonderful time for mommy bloggers to have a lunch date with our Fabulous Mommy Bambie. I was really glad to have finally met her and bloggers will all agree here that she’s not only beautiful in person but very warm as well.

We chose Conti’s Pastry Shop and Restaurant in Trinoma as venue for our meeting and here’s some of the food that we had yesterday.

Fish Kebab for me
Chicken & Beef for Peh and Fedhz

and whole cake sliced into 10. here’s mine. so yummy..

my take home, three packs of 4 of Polvoron, that Fedhz gave me. My two kids ate them all in a flash and left only one piece for me. Fedhz told me what’s behind these Polvoron. See full story in her blogs. So yummy Polvoron. Thanks much Fedhz. There’s a certain magic in these Polvoron. I’m actually craving for more now. =)

It was a wonderful lunch with almost two hours on the table of laughters, stories and food. Thank you so much Bambie. I really had a great time yesterday!

Food Trip Friday #20: Fish Fillet in Creamy Sauce

When my daughter asked me to buy Cream Dory last week for their cooking class, I bought extra pack for us and cooked for our dinner yesterday. Here’s my recipe.

Ingredients

3/4 kilo cream dory
olive oil or butter
7 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped
nestle cream
mushroom
pepper
salt
flour/breadings
two tablespoon sugar (add as desired)

Directions

Marinade fish fillet with lemon and pepper then roll in garlic breading.
Heat butter in a non-stick frying pan. Fry fish fillets. Cook for seven minutes on each side or until fish turned brown. When cooked, set aside.

In the same pan, saute garlic, onion and put the mushroom. Season with pepper, salt and sugar. Put the cream and mix until cooked. Serve fish with sauce.
