Food Trip Friday #41: Paksiw na Pata

Paksiw na Pata used to be our regular dish. Since I am becoming more conscious with the food that we eat, I seldom cook this viand and prepare fish recipe instead.

Here is my Paksiw na Pata recipe:

1 large pata around 1 kilo
1 cup water
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 head garlic, crushed
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup dried banana blossoms (bulaklak ng saging)
1 bay leaf, pepper

Clean pata thoroughly. Boil in vinegar, water and garlic. Lower heat and simmer until pata is tender. Add more water if needed. Put in soy sauce, sugar, dried banana blossoms and bay leaf. Serve Hot.

Food Trip Friday #40: Inihaw

Inihaw is best served along with calamansi, toyo (soy sauce) sili (pepper) ensaladang talong (eggplant) and not to forget a glass of iced cold coca cola. Picture me eating in bare hands. Forgive me, but this kind of meal just beg to be eaten with hands. And oh btw, extra rice please.

Food Trip Friday #39: at Red Ribbon

Red Ribbon’s S’morses Cake

Carbonara
Cheesy Lasagna

Sharing our food trip at Red Ribbon Trinoma branch. We usually have pizza weekend, either Shakey’s, Pizza Hut or Greenwich but last week, we dined in at Red Ribbon for a change. Nothing is fantastic with the food, except for the cake which of course you all know that cake is their specialty treat, and it must be good!
