Food Trip Friday 45: Ginatang Kalabasa with Crabs

Ginataang Kalabasa at Sitaw with Crab



1/4 of squash cut into cubes

1 bunch of string beans cut about 4 inches long

3 cloves of garlic

1 onion sliced

ginger (about the size of half onion)

1 tbsp fish sauce

1 pack of coconut milk (about one cup)

10 pcs of crab (may cut into halves)

2 green pepper

salt and pepper

Sautee galic and onion and ginger. Add the crabs. Sauté for about few minutes then add the squash and string beans. Pour the coconut milk and cover, let it simmer for few minutes until the flavor of crabs come out. Once it boiled add the green pepper, pepper and fish sauce. Cover and continue simmering for about ten minutes. Stir from time to time. Let it boil until the sauce thickens. Served with hot rice. You can enjoy it even more eating with hands. Enjoy!
