Something Special

The busiest industry when the month of December comes, probably is the courier or shipping industry. The holiday season just indicates that the spirit of giving this Christmas is alive all over the world. I salute the courier company that never takes advantage of it and even double their effort and time in the busy December to deliver the package/gift on time.

If you owe someone and you need forgiveness, don’t just call. Send something special like I’m sorry gifts and surely the person who will receive them will really appreciate the effort that you exerted to make it up with him/her.

Action speaks louder than any other words you said. Send someone special a gift that he really deserves.

Food Trip Friday 72: Calorie Loaded Pasalubong

I was too busy last week and missed my entry. I caught myself up in the rush for this holiday season and back to back parties. I was a bit stressed but my Christmas tree is still empty. Plan for Christmas? None yet. I haven’t had any idea to this very hour when to spend it. WE might watch the movie or go somewhere on the day of Christmas. Anyways, here is my entry this week.

I always bring something for my kids whenever I go out as pasalubong. I would always text them or call what they want but of course I would only buy what is only available or whatever I see on my way home. Yesterday, from BPI event, I bought a pasta, a pizza and 2 Wendys Big Single for them. One slice of Sbarro Chicago Supreme is more than enough for two small eater persons. I put the left over inside the ref and just reheat it in the oven for our dinner today.

Chicago Supreme (P172) slice

Pasta Puttanesca (P174) whole
It looks so dry from the ref but it was juicier after reheating at the oven.
Wendy’s Big Single ( P136)

Venue for Parties

Getting a hotel reservation these days seem to be tough. Many people take this season to have a vacation somewhere while others book their parties at the hotel for various events. In our Christmas party held last week, the host made her way to get a hotel even if it’s fully booked when she called the hotel. It’s a 2-bedroom suite with living room, small kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The facilities are meticulously maintained even the clawfoot tubs that just add character to the suite. If I were to remodel my own bathroom, definitely, I would have it installed too.

I think that having a party at the hotel is far better even if it costs a little higher than doing it at home. I suggest the next time we have another event to do it in the hotel again. It saves time and big mess on the part of the host.

Thank You!

We got lots of goodies! Our package has arrived. Thank you to my PILs who have been very generous to us all through the years. My two children were excited when they opened it. Chocolates, canned goods and cookies always excite them. To my PILs, thank you very much!

Have a Stress Free Christmas!

Holiday stress! That’s the most update I read from social networking site. The clear sign that Christmas is coming. I was browsing the net a while ago looking for Christmas gifts online. I want to stay away from the hassle of going out to the mall and also to get rid of the traffic along the way. This is the last weekend before Christmas and crowded mall is anticipated in most of the malls in the metro. The bazaar or what we call local Tiange is a perfect shopping destination for those who work at night. Other health workers shop their medical scrubs and other items online. Workers with a graveyard shift like call center agents depend on the night time Bazaar because shopping is impossible for them during daytime.

Everyone is rushing to shop. We can always be smart by just making our life easy today. Do your shopping during weekdays to avoid long lines at the counter and shop online!
