Grocery Shopping is Bonding Time!

I’m glad that there is a supermarket nearby where I could replenish my grocery items every weekend without spending a single cent for the taxi cab. It takes only about ten minutes walk or less to get there. The new branch is a lot bigger and the items are almost complete. You can have even the fresh fruits, vegetables, seafood and fresh meat. In the grocery section, you could see all the items like household supplies and other miscellaneous merchandise. If you are planning to buy in bulks, there is enough available stock off the rack. You can use the chrome step stools provided inside the store to get the extra pack out of your reach. You may ask also the friendly staff who are very willing to assist you for the wholesale items.

I love doing my grocery with my children as it also becomes our instant bonding time together. I don’t see it as a task but as a stress reliever on weekends. I could still remember my  mother’s wish when I was a kid  to go to supermarket and have our cart full of grocery items. It never happened but I have quite good memories with her when I got my first paycheck and shopped together.

366 Blogger Photo Challenge

I missed my weekend entry. I stayed offline for a while because of my sore elbow. I still blog but I cut my other online activities to make sure that I have enough rest for my swollen elbow. When my schedule goes back to normal, I’ll schedule BPC in one of my sites every month or maybe a week and post it on a regular basis. Thank you so much to the host of this meme, Dhemz.

So how do you refresh yourself? Have you tried Cha Dao Milk Tea? You should! We have this during my friend’s Baby Shower Party. So refreshing! I’ll post all the details of the store and their branches when I have it in my hand.

Amazing Voice

I wouldn’t name the artist in this post  but I will provide you all the hints to make it easier for you to  guess.
She may not be the best singer in town but she’s a real sweetheart to those who couldn’t really sing well but have all  the full guts to sing.  If I may not be able to see her perform in another concert again, I’ll just buy a CD of her album in the local market.  Few international artists are now scheduled to perform in different venues for the coming Valentine’s day but I chose to just  listen to her music while playing on radio or when she performs on her noontime show.

She’s exceptionally amazing during the big dome concert last weekend. It was a big success! It’s a dream come true for every artist to perform on stage in front of  15,000 fans. I am sure that the tc helicon voicelive 2 extreme edition adds an amazing voice to this artist. I’ve heard her singing live that I could compare the big difference.  Do you know the name of the artist? Your guess is as good as mine.

Food Trip Friday 75: Tapioca Dessert

You can’t blame me if gain a few pounds after every event. It’s not the viand. What I always crave for is the sweets, I mean the dessert! And that’s also the reason why I sometimes cannot wait til I finish my food. Dessert, if not always, comes first and not at the end of the meal.

A simple tapioca dessert that always delights my taste.

What’s a Sport Anyway?

It’s one of those silly fights you get into with people from time to time. Yes, we all know that football, cricket, basketball, rugby, baseball, gymnastics, swimming, running, tennis, skiing, etc. are sports.

What about activities that have a physical element but don’t require a particular amount of sweat or strength. Most people think of golf as a sport, even if it’s sport you can do without breaking a sweat if you use a golf cart. What about pool and billiards? They certainly require a lot of hand-eye coordination.

What about a “sport” you can play while practically being in an iron lung, like poker? I mean, it’s on the sports cable channels, does that make it a sport? Dungeons and Dragons, because you have to roll dice? What about video/online games? Farmville, anyone?

Anyhow, I was thinking about that again when I learned that not only are legitimate companies manufacturing beer pong tables, but that there’s a world series of beer pong. Beer pong. Beer freaking pong. Here’s an example of one of the “professional” beer pong tables.

Okay, I admit, I can think of worse jobs than being a professional beer pong player using professional beer pong tables. But if this qualifies as a sport, I have to wonder it that opens the door to other drinking games. A world series of Quarters? Are there going to be professional Truth or Dare players? Okay, I guess that would be the guys from “Jackass” but that’s more “dare” than “truth” and I’m too squeamish to watch that nasty stuff.

What about the game “Bob”? It was the first drinking game I ever heard of and it consisted of watching and episode of the original 1970s “Bob Newhart Show” and drinking beer or, heaven forbid, a shot every time an actor on the show said “Hi Bob.” (You can try to play it with the second series starring the great deadpan comic, but since his character was named Dick Loudon, you may remain pretty sober.) Okay, at least we can agree that “Bob” is definitely not a sport. It’s barely a game.

But I still can’t get over the fact there’s such a thing as professional beer pong tables.
