FTF # 103: My Singapore Food Street

I am working via blogger’s platform. I think that the latest WP version is not compatible with my old theme. When I changed it, I couldn’t find the image and the text. I could only see the text and image by highlighting the post and then clicking the preview  when it’s done. That’s the only time I could finally publish it.  I draft my post in blogger’s platform and paste it here. Such a lot of effort but I hope that it goes back to normal and I wish that it’s only my connection that never works normal and not my system. If anyone knows how to fix it, please help!

Okay, enough for the segue, here’s another food post for the start of February.  Hey,  time simply flew away! Where have all those days gone? Am I too busy not to notice the time or the time just  flew  by so fast?

Yesterday, after visiting and shopping at Grand Baby Fair (happening on February 1.2.3. at MEGATRADE HALL 2 & 3) soft opening, we went around the mall and before heading home, we decided to have our  dinner at My Singapore Food Street.   So, here are the photos last night. My daughter said  that the restaurant just had their soft opening that day too as posted.   Because Singapore is unusual unlike Chinese or Japanese, off  we tried and here’s what we ordered.

Charsiew Pork (roasted pork  marinated in tomato sauce and special spices)

Satay Chicken (grilled chicken marinated in special spices, ginger, lemongrass and onion.) Served with special sauce.  The sauce is tasty.  I could taste some curry flavorings.

Black Pepper Beef served with plain rice and scrambled egg

The food was great though I find the Satay a bit dry.  For hungry tummy and big eater,  one serving wouldn’t be enough. We did not order drinks because it was quite expensive, something like P80 -100 (more or less $2) for iced tea, so we settled for free cold water.  🙂   We’re not used to soda and ice tea at home anyway.
