I am not sure if this will pass the category of chicken pastel but from the looks of it, yah, it tastes and looks like, this is really chicken pastel. You can or cannot agree with me. I googled the recipe and it matches the same ingredients, only some are missing like carrots, green pepper and potatoes.
Here’s my ingredients:
500 grams chicken breast, cut into bite size
3 chorizo de bilbao, sliced
1 can mushroom,
3 stalks celery, chopped
½ cup chopped bacon
4 tbsp butter
1 white onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
¾ cup evaporated milk
2 tbsp cornstarch dissolved in 3 tbsp water
salt and pepper to taste
I was actually experimenting with the ingredients that I only have in my fridge and luckily found the menu. It wasn’t as creamy as I found the image on Google but it tastes exactly like chicken pastel.
I lost track of my update that I have to check my old post if this has already been published. I missed my list of my draft and pending posts.
It’s just as easy again like cooking my old recipe pasta and mixing all the ingredients.
Cream, Ham or Tuna, Pasta, Mushroom.
That’s it. I’ll post a more detailed cooking procedure when I’m not really busy..err, not really busy, was just having a lazy day.
Just a simple reminder. Always use good cheese and top it with some herbs like Basil Leaves. It makes a whole lot of difference.
The recipe is not mine. I just followed the recipe I found online. But here’s my own take of Creamy Tuscan Chicken.
Italian Meal Base Dolmio Sauce
2/3 cup thickened cream
1 red capsicum
Cook the pasta according to packet instructions. Heat oil in pan and cook diced chicken until brown. Add sliced capsicum, sliced zucchini, Italian Meal Base and thickened cream, stir and cook for 3 minutes. Add cooked pasta to pan and stir through.
I garnish with cheese and ground basil leaves to enhance the taste.
Try it on your own and tell me how it taste. You’ll never be wrong with any pasta recipe with cheese. Just use Parmesan for better taste.
